My journey to the Holy Land begins with what Yelp describes as “an evangelical and fundamentalist Christian attraction”.
This full scale replica of Noah’s ark is truly impressive. It was built to the specifications in Genesis and based on research done regarding ship building in the ancient near east. The apologetic ministry of “Answers in Genesis ” is behind the Ark Encounter and it’s clearly an apologetic work. The main thrust is to show the plausibility of the ark and how the flood changed the earth. 
The speculative but logical ways to house creatures and store supplies are fascinating. 
Many of the animals chosen to be displayed are extinct but others are not. The extinct ones are shown based on fossil records. They include small dinosaurs even. Wild! More to come…
